The Baltimore–Rotterdam Art Bridge lands in Baltimore this season, and it takes a small army of volunteers to pull off. These are the moments we need hands.
2026 Season
Community Paint Day
Rotterdam artist Naomi King joins Baltimore's own kolpeace for a large-scale mural honoring the Baltimore Black Sox. Volunteers help with setup, supplies, check-in, and keeping the paint moving.
Mural Unveiling
The big one. Setup, breakdown, guest welcome, photography support, and everything in between as the neighborhood celebrates the finished work.
Artist Talk & Celebration
An evening with the artists, a DJ, and the community that made it happen. Volunteers help with hospitality, AV, and making the room feel like Baltimore.

Hands-on volunteers
Show up in person for paint days, pop-ups, and unveilings. No experience needed, just energy and a willingness to get a little paint on you.

Volunteers reach us through universities, pro bono networks, and service organizations across the region. If you're part of one of these communities, you have a direct line in.

Real work, not busywork
Every volunteer role exists because something genuinely needs doing. If we ask for your Saturday, it's because the mural needs you.
Clear asks and clear time commitments
You'll know what you're signing up for before you sign up. Event shifts are a few hours. Skills-based projects are scoped up front.
A front-row seat to the work
Volunteers meet the artists, watch walls change, and see exactly where the effort goes. This is the closest you can get to the work without holding the spray can.
Community, the Baltimore way
Food shows up. Music happens. You'll leave knowing more neighbors than when you came.
