The Art Bridge grew out of Walk On By, a 2024–2025 exchange that paired six Black artists across the sister cities of Baltimore and Rotterdam. Two of them — kolpeace of Baltimore and Naomi King of Rotterdam — discovered a shared practice and decided their next step should be outdoor murals built with community, in both of their home cities.

Nosreme leads the exchange end to end — partnerships, fundraising, permits, and logistics — alongside the Baltimore–Rotterdam Sister City Committee and partners in both countries. Each mural carries its own theme, shaped by local history and community visioning. Our Executive Director travels to Rotterdam in 2026 and 2027 to help identify those themes on the ground.

The result is two murals in two cities — the Baltimore Black Sox mural here in Baltimore and a companion work in Rotterdam — plus youth workshops, story circles, artist talks, and public unveilings that connect young people and artists across the Atlantic. It is our mission in a single project: bringing the world to Baltimore and Baltimore to the world.
