Partner Cities Wanted.
Nosreme is building a network of partner cities for our residency exchange program. If your organization is interested in joining, we'd like to talk.
The offer
We pair a Baltimore artist with an artist from your city to co-create public work rooted in both places. You bring the artist, the local context, and a partner institution in your city. We bring curatorial support, production infrastructure, community engagement, a Baltimore residency placement for your artist, and a public commission outcome that lives in both cities' cultural records.

Our Process
Why This Model
The history of international artistic exchange has, for most of the last century, flowed in one direction — American artists abroad, finding in other cultures the creative and social conditions that allowed them to do their work. Josephine Baker in Paris. James Baldwin in Istanbul. Lois Mailou Jones in Haiti. Augusta Savage in Paris. That history produced extraordinary work. It also reflected what wasn't possible at home.
Nosreme is built to reverse the direction. We bring international artists to Baltimore — not as guests, but as peers — and we pair them with Baltimore artists in collaborations that belong to both cities. Our partnerships are structured so that the artist your organization sends receives real residency infrastructure in Baltimore (housing, studio, community, commission) and so that your organization gets documented cultural production, exhibition rights, and a standing collaborator for future cohorts.
This is the case we're making. We welcome partners who share it.
