THROUGH THE POWER OF ART AND SHARED EXPERIENCE,
We Connect Baltimore to the World
TheChallenge
Baltimore has world-class creative talent—but too few pathways to opportunity, visibility, and income. For many artists, especially Black artists, sustaining a creative life here has meant leaving.
OurResponse
Nosreme (that’s “Emerson” spelled backward) is transforming how Baltimore’s artists live, work, and grow—at home and across borders.
We activate neighborhoods through public art. We develop emerging creatives with paid work, mentorship, and visibility. And we’re building Baltimore’s first permanent international artist residency—so the world’s artists come here to create, collaborate, and build community.
Your donation helps local and international artists create public art, build community, and bring new life to Baltimore.
What We Do
→ Public Art & Pop-Ups
Murals, site installations, exhibitions, and curated pop-up experiences that activate space, pay artists, and bring creative energy to communities.
→ Artist Development
Residencies, commissions, and teaching opportunities that help artists turn talent into sustainable careers.
→ Global Exchange
Cross-cultural residencies and creative diplomacy—starting with a pilot exchange between Baltimore and Rotterdam (2026–2027).
Coming in 2027
We’re opening a permanent artist residency hub in a repurposed Baltimore landmark. It will house 10–12 local artists, host 2–3 international artists annually, and serve as a creative gathering place for neighbors, artists, and global partners alike.
Baltimore will become a destination for artists—and a launchpad for global talent.
Since 2022, we have:
